Environmental efforts must comply with applicable requirements and, at the same time, be driven forward through clear goals, follow-up, and continuous improvement.

Resources
Water, electricity, and energy consumption, as well as the amount of waste, are monitored. Sju Sjöar uses 100 percent renewable electricity and employs resource-efficient technology.

Groceries and Food
Organic and locally sourced foods are chosen whenever possible. These efforts also include reducing food waste, using eco-labeled cleaning products, and imposing sustainability requirements on suppliers.

Knowledge
Employees are informed and trained on environmental issues. Guests should also have the opportunity to understand and contribute to these efforts during their stay.
Social and Economic Sustainability
Responsibility also applies to how people interact with one another.
Sju Sjöar aims to make a positive contribution to the local community, promote local culture, and be a safe and inclusive place. Equality, diversity, a positive work environment, and respectful conditions shall characterize both our own operations and our relationships with suppliers and contractors.

The work is monitored and refined each year.
The environmental policy serves as the basis for annual goals and practical procedures. When operations, legal requirements, or Green Key criteria change, work procedures and information must be reviewed.
